Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all coaching services provided by Rebecca Ligt, trading as The Light Way – Innovation Coaching (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking or participating in any coaching sessions, you agree to the following terms:

1. Services Provided
​
Coaching services are offered in person, via phone, or video conferencing and typically run for 1 hour per session.
Our coaching focuses on mindset, personal growth, and innovation support. It is not counselling, therapy, or consulting.
2. Scope of Practice

Coaching is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or legal advice.

We do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

If your needs fall outside our scope, referrals may be offered.

You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and results.

3. Confidentiality

All information shared in coaching sessions is confidential.

Information may be disclosed only if required by law or if there is risk of harm.

Records are stored securely in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

Client files will be retained for 5 years post-service and then securely destroyed.

Written permission is required for information to be shared with third parties.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

Accepted payment methods include Credit Card, Bank Transfer, or Invoice.

If payment is not received, sessions may be postponed until the account is settled.

Pricing is in Australian Dollars (AUD) and includes GST if applicable.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee.

Missed appointments without notice are non-refundable.

No refunds are provided for used or partially used coaching packages.

If a session is cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days via the original payment method. Refunds are handled securely through Stripe.

If you're experiencing financial hardship, please contact us in advance to discuss flexible options. We’re committed to finding fair solutions where possible.

6. Client Responsibilities

Coaching is a collaborative process and requires your active participation.

You are responsible for your own outcomes and follow-through.

Honest communication is encouraged throughout the coaching relationship.

7. Limitation of Liability

Coaching results vary between individuals.

We are not liable for any decisions or actions you take based on coaching.

Liability is limited to services paid for, except in cases of proven negligence.

All content, including text, graphics, downloads, and coaching materials, is the intellectual property of The Light Way – Innovation Coaching unless otherwise credited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share this content without written permission. Limited personal use (e.g. printing a resource for yourself) is permitted.

9. Jurisdictional​

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
